Overview
Agents are how Relixir decides what content to create and refresh to hit your SEO/GEO goals.- Each agent is tied to a goal you have — ranking for specific keywords or beating a specific competitor
- Agents are triggered every week by default and propose the most impactful actions to take
- Agents take progress snapshots on a weekly cadence to track improvement for the defined goal

Required Steps
Step 1: Go to the Agents Page
Navigate to:Step 2: Create a New Agent
Click + New Agent to trigger the agent creation pop-up.Agent Creation Form

|---|---|
| Name | A descriptive name for the agent (e.g., “Competitor - Acme Corp”) |
| Goal Type | Choose between Keyword-focused or Competitor-focused |
| Target Keywords | (If keyword-focused) The keywords you want to rank for |
| Target Competitor | (If competitor-focused) The competitor you want to outrank |
| Topic Count | How many topics to propose per week |
| Auto-Approve | Whether to auto-generate blogs from proposed topics |
Step 3: Submit the Form
Fill in the form based on your goals and press Create Agent. The agent will show up on the agent list on the Agents page. Expand it to view more details.What You’ll See in an Expanded Agent
When you expand an agent, you’ll see:Top 5 Actions
Actions proposed by that agent you can act on right away:
- Deploy blog to CMS
- Approve proposed topic
- Review content refresh proposal
Goal Performance Tracking
KPI metrics tied specifically to that Agent’s goals:
- Mention rate for keywords the agent is targeting
- Google traffic (impressions) driven from the agent’s actions
Custom Action Buttons
Trigger actions on-demand:
- Trigger Topics — Generate new topic proposals
- Create Blog — Generate a blog from a topic
- Refresh Content — Propose content refreshes
Each action takes time to execute — anywhere from 5-20 minutes. You will receive an email once it’s completed.
Optional Steps
Edit Agent Settings
- Click on the vertical ellipsis (⋮) in an agent’s row
- Select Edit Agent to open the editing form
Additional Settings
When editing, you can configure:| Setting | Description |

| Agent Guidelines | Specific guidelines for this agent around topics, content, or sources to use (natural language) |
| Blog Types | Narrow to specific content types (by default, all types are proposed) |
| Pause Agent | Temporarily pause weekly snapshots and actions without deleting |

Target specific keywords you want to improve rankings for:- Low-performing but high-intent keywords (your “low-hanging fruit”)
- Keywords where competitors are winning
- Keywords for new products or features
Competitor-Focused Agents
Target specific competitors you want to outrank:- Key competitors you’re losing deals to
- Competitors with strong AI search presence
- Emerging competitors in your space

- Ensure the agent has a valid goal (keywords or competitor)
- Wait for the weekly run cycle to complete

- Add specific guidelines to the agent’s settings
- Provide feedback by rejecting topics with a reason
